This is Peter, he has Cerebral Palsy. Peter came into my life and completely changed it! All for the good but many of the changes hurt while they were taking place. Even now although I am use to the life changes I work hard at making peace with the disability. I have created this website to reach out to other families that are raising kids with special needs and who have decided to make the very most out of what their family has been dealt.
We live a big life with two sets of twins, now all teenagers and have learned to never let the wheelchair slow us down! Peter really doesn’t believe there is much he can’t do actually nor do we! We have taken Peter horseback riding, tubing, surfing, on lots of hikes, down lots of water slides, on wild rides, roller skating, ice skating, white water rafting, bike riding, well pretty much everything that we do with the rest of the kids. And we all have had fun doing it!
In my blog I give my personal refections and try to tell my way of dealing with life and its difficulties. My blog is written with my four kids in mind as reminders of what is important in life and a bit of advise on what I have found to be true, which is that the small things in life seem to matter the most and yet if not acknowledged can be overlooked. Although life dealt our family an unexpected situation I have found just how beautiful and active life can be even if a wheelchair is part of it! :)
If you have a story to share comment on my blog I would love to hear your thoughts!
