This is Peter, he has Cerebral Palsy. Peter came into my life and completely changed it! All for the good but many of the changes hurt while they were taking place. Even now although I am use to the life changes I work hard at making peace with the disability. I have created this website to reach out to other families that are raising kids with special needs and who have decided to make the very most out of what their family has been dealt.
I would love to hear your stories as I, along with a couple other artist, am creating a book of stories of families with kids with special needs and all the amazing things they have still been able to do with their family, especially their special needs child. I want to know the sports that you have been able to be in, the recreation you are able to do as a family even if it is adapted and most of all how you found “normal” again after being told that your child would have some sort of special needs.
On the next couple of pages you will find my blog which I give my personal refections and try to tell my personal ways of dealing and also I have some links that might be useful in finding hope in your situation. I have lots of pictures of life. Although life dealt our family an unexpected situation I found out just how beautiful life can still be even if a wheelchair is part of it!
If you have a story to share comment on my blog and I will get ahold of you! I am totally interested in your story and would love to hear your journey!
